The site is a distribution channel for information and services produced by the The Embassy of Finland in New Delhi and the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs for domestic and foreign users. The web service is provided in Finnish and English, although not all the material on the network is necessarily initially available in both languages.

Front page news contains main headline of the recent press releases, speeches or articles concerning activities of the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi and Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finland. Current affairs of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, on the front page, opens with the most recent press releases and speeches or articles published by the foreign affairs administration.

Current Affairs contains history of the press releases, speeches or articles concerning activities of the The Embassy of Finland in New Delhi. Visitors can subscribe to an RSS feed and receive topical material to RSS reader.

Embassy section provides information about the Embassy and its tasks, organization,  personnel and history.

Services section provides detailed information about the consular services, visa and nationality issues, residence and work permits.

Contact Us contains the contact details of the Embassy, its office and client service hours, a map and driving instructions to the Embassy. This section also lists Finland's Honorary Consulates in the area

About Finland contains information and articles about various fields related to Finland.

Links section lists useful links providing information about Finland, Finnish government, Foreign Ministry and other various fields.

With Feedback questionnaire you can send us feedback or ask questions about our web site. service is maintained by the the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi jointly with the Unit for Web Communication of the Ministry's Department for Public Communication and Culture. Special programmes

Visitors to the Current affairsl->Webcasts subsection need a separate downloadable RealPlayer programme to be able to listen to and watch the webcasts. A free version of the programme is available, for example, at

All the material on the Current affairs subsection can also be monitored with an RSS feed (Really Simple Syndication/Rich Site Summary).  Users can subscribe to a newsgroup and receive notifications of updates. This helps avoid constant visits to the website in order to be notified of new and changed content.

Copyright to the texts, pictures and webcasts published on the website belongs to the Embassy of Finland or other parties mentioned in connection with the published material. For example, the copyright to pictures can belong to others but the Embassy has made an agreement on the use of the photos.

Linking to the texts is free and texts can be quotes as long as the source is mentioned. Other kind of use of the material must be separately agreed upon with the Embassy of Finland.

Linking to individual photos is categorically denied.

Identifiable personal information of service users is not collected. We do not need users' contact details to other ends than to be able to respond to their feedback.
